Mission of Ideal Poetry

Built from the public commonwealth of words, erected on the public commons of language, poetry’s purpose is to serve the People who are the sine qua non of every poem. Poetry’s secondary obligation is to Nature, source of all poetic talent, which it distributes, willy-nilly, among the People.

It is a circular thing, which is why poetry is known to causes dizziness in some users. Start slow and low, reach only for that which you may readily grasp!

Confident that we’ve secured the website enough to deter spamholes, we hope your comments and contributions will make IdealPoetry.com a freewheeling salon for poetry fans and enthusiasts! (Poetry professors are welcome too, so long as they’re neither dogmatic nor dull.)
