This event celebrates Norman Rockwell&#8217;s popular depiction of what for many is the quintessential small New England Town; Rockwell began painting the image in 1956, but did not complete it until December 1967. The highlight of the weekend is a recreation on Sunday of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/images?q=Stockbridge+Main+Street+at+Christmas\">the scene depicted in Main Street at Christmas<\/a>, complete with vintage automobiles parked in the spots occupied in the painting. The day&#8217;s activities include horse drawn rides, a visit from Santa Claus, music, photos with Rockwell, Roger the Jester, and much more.<\/p>\n<h2>Stockbridge Main Street &#8211; Sat. Dec. 4, 2010<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Holiday House Tour, 11:00am-4:00pm<\/strong><br \/>\nVisit some of the area&#8217;s finest Historic Homes, B&#038;B&#8217;s, and Inns. This self-guided tour is one of the<br \/>\narea&#8217;s most popular events.  This years tour will highlight The Mount Estate &#038; Gardens, Ventfort<br \/>\nHall Mansion &#038; Gilded Age Museum, Seven Hills Inn, The Mission House, Inn at Stockbridge and Federal<br \/>\nHouse Inn. Tickets are $15.00 per person.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Children&#8217;s Holiday Story Time, 11:00-11:30am<\/strong><br \/>\nCome listen to tales of the season at the Stockbridge Library.<br \/>\nFree Admission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caroling &#038; Luminaria Walk, 6:00-7:00pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meet in front of The Red Lion Inn, Main Street with your candle or flashlight and join the festive<br \/>\ncaroling followed by a Luminaria walk to the First Congregational Church.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Holiday Concert at the First Congregational Church, 7:30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Celebrate the magic of the season with a joyful holiday musical program.  Featuring<br \/>\nthe Berkshire Lyric Theatre Chorus, the Blafield Children&#8217;s Chorus special Guest Soloist Gwen<br \/>\nTunnicliffe and Jack Brown, Music Director.<br \/>\nTickets are $20.00 in advance $25.00 at the door<\/p>\n<h2>Stockbridge Main Street &#8211; Sun. Dec. 5, 2010<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas Recreation, 12Noon-2:00pm<\/strong><br \/>\nSee Main Street as Norman Rockwell did when he painted the famous Stockbridge Main Street at<br \/>\nChristmas. Main Street becomes a magical New England village with over 50 antique cars parked along<br \/>\nthe street(weather permitting) and a full range of festive activities to delight the child in<br \/>\neveryone.  Enjoy Holiday Music by Monument Mountain Regional High School &#038; the Londontown Carolers,<br \/>\nRoger the Jester and lunch at the Christmas Food Booth.  Children may create ornaments at Santa&#8217;s<br \/>\nworkshop.  Enjoy horse drawn ride wagon rides (nominal fee). Complete the day with a visit from<br \/>\nSanta. Commemorative Buttons which offer admittance to Sunday&#8217;s Main St. activities are $5.00 per<br \/>\nperson.
