It has a great deal of good grazing land and has remained, down through the years, a small rural community. Washington also is home to two of the most famous denizens of Berkshire county, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.berkshirelinks.com\/tag\/arlo-guthrie\/\">Arlo Guthrie<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.berkshirelinks.com\/tag\/james-taylor\/\">James Taylor<\/a> (neighboring Lenoxians claim JT as one of their own, though).
