Stunned gold<br \/>\nand bronze, oaks, maples stood in twos and threes:<\/p>\n<p>some copper bright, a few dull brown and, now<br \/>\nand then, the shock of one so steeled with frost<\/p>\n<p>it glittered like a dime. The autumn boughs<br \/>\nand blackened branches wore a somber gloss<\/p>\n<p>that whispered tails to me, not heads.
