On a cool, overcast day, the highlights of the hike included several <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Notophthalmus_viridescens\">red-spotted eastern newts<\/a> (Notophthalmus viridescens), and the placid Upper Goose Pond itself, which displayed reflections of the surounding hills in stunning Impressionistic fashion. Goose Pond Reservation, a property of the <strong>Trustees of Reservations<\/strong>, is located at Cooper Creek Road, Lee, MA 01238.
