More additions to the Popular Artists portion of the 2019 Tanglewood schedule:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Boston Pops<\/strong>, with James Burton<\/strong> of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus<\/strong> in Keith Lockhart’s role, will do a Queen tribute show with Freddie Mercury impersonator Marc Martel<\/strong> on Thursday, June 27 at 8 in the Shed. <\/p>\n

The Youtube sensation Postmodern Jukebox<\/strong>, a “rotating musical collective,” will perform Saturday, June 22 at 8 in Ozawa Hall. <\/p>\n

Josh Groban, Gladys Night, and Reba McEntire added to Tanglewood schedule<\/h3>\n

Josh Groban will return to Tanglewood’s Koussevitzky Music Shed on Tuesday, July 2, at 7. On Wednesday, August 28, at 7, Gladys Knight will make her Tanglewood debut; Reba McEntire will close out the 2019 Tanglewood season on Sunday, September 1, at 2 in the Shed.<\/p>\n

2019 Tanglewood schedule<\/h2>\n

The Boston Symphony Orchestra<\/strong> has released the schedule for the 2019 season at Tanglewood<\/a>, which will be remembered for the opening of the Tanglewood Learning Institute<\/strong>, the four buildings overlooking Seiji Ozawa Hall<\/strong> on the Leonard Bernstein camopus.<\/p>\n

Music director Andris Nelsons<\/strong> will be present for the month of July, conducting 13 programs, including the world premiere of a new work by Kevin Puts<\/strong>, The Brightness of Light<\/em>, based on letters of Georgia O\u2019Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz<\/strong> on July 20, and a concert performance of Wagner\u2019s<\/strong> complete Die Walk\u00fcre<\/em> on july 27 and 28.
