April 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Yes\/Noh Players<\/strong> will present <em>Ireland Singing<\/em>, a tribute to the four Irish winners of the <strong>Nobel Prize for Literature<\/strong>, at <strong>Berkshire Community College<\/strong> on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 12:15 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Conceived and directed by <strong>Frances Benn Hall<\/strong> of Lenox, MA, <em>Ireland Singing<\/em> will include the poetry of <strong>William Butler Yeats<\/strong> and <strong>Seamus Heaney<\/strong>, plus staged scenes from <strong>George Bernard Shaw&#8217;s<\/strong> <em>John Bull&#8217;s Other Ireland<\/em> and from <strong>Samuel Beckett&#8217;s<\/strong> <em>Waiting for Godot<\/em>. It will conclude with a scene from Yeats&#8217; final play, <em>The Death of Cuchulain<\/em>, which was written a few months before Yeats died.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran Yeats\/Noh actors <strong>Arthur Collins<\/strong> and <strong>Kathy Jo Grover<\/strong> lead a cast that includes <strong>Hugh<\/strong> and <strong>Nancy Cowhig<\/strong>, <strong>Iris Bass<\/strong>, <strong>Paul Glavin<\/strong>, and <strong>Margaret Whitfield<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ireland Singing, by Frances Benn Hall, at B.C.C.
